On 29th, March, the ceremony of employing Yao Chaoying as our Adjunct professor was held in Chang’an campus, our president Fang Guanghua presented the ceremony and conferred the letter of appointment. The ceremony was chaired by the Dean of the Foreign Languages Department, Cui Yaping.
Having getting the letter, the Associate Secretary General Yao Chaoying said, as the first group of foreign language department graduates of the resumption of college entrance examination, he had been grateful to our university for its cultivation, and until today, he still missed the time when he was in this university. Our foreign language department is blessed with a long history and has made a great achievement in building of the courses. He felt honored for his being able to come back here and employed as an adjunct professor. He would treasure this chance and spare no effort to contribute to the development of this university.
The professor Fang Guanghua made a brief review of the contributions that made by the renowned scholars and outstanding graduates. He used such images as mountains, houses, ways, and rivers to express his understandings of the university and the cultivation of talents. Full of passion, he said that the bloom of this university is the bloom of us, our life would glitter in this place. He said, the development of our university was tightly combined with the need of our country and our nation. The development of foreign languages must be tightly combined with the need of social reality and the great west development. An Outstanding graduate as Associate Secretary General Yao Chaoying is, his rich experience would be of great help to the cultivation of talents in foreign languages. At the end, he wished the greater progress of the foreign language department and our students.
The director of the President’s Office Lei Zhongpeng, the vice section head of Human Resources Section Sun Lujian, the communist leaders of the Foreign Languages Department, all the faculties and students representatives presented the ceremony.
After the ceremony, Associate Secretary General Yao Chaoying gave an excellent academic report on the “Business Etiquette” in English for the teachers and students of the foreign languages department.
Introduction of Yao Chaoying：
Yao Chaoying is the standing director of Shaanxi Translation Association, and the vice president of the association. Graduated in 1983 form Northwest University, majored in English Linguistics and Literate, now he is working as the Associate Secretary General Of Shaanxi People’s Government. He used to work as the vice minister of the Business Ministry of Shaanxi Province, the director general of Shaanxi Cooperation of economy and Technology Bureau and the director of Shaanxi Outer World Opening Office. He has been devoted to the translation, exchange and the administration of the international economic trading.
